…I actually read a Pride and Prejudice in space fic that was really really awesome. So awesome in fact that I rec’d it to my sister that doesn’t even read fanfic but likes Jane Austen just so I could have someone to talk to about it.

MAN I WISH I HAD SEEN THIS WHEN I WAS WRITING MY TERM PAPER ABOUT NEGATIVE/PERPLEXED REACTIONS TO FANDOM/FANFICTION.

Also, I really want to read the P&P in space fic!

I was actually pleasantly surprised by this article! I saw it on the kitchen table and read it, anticipating it being kind of LOL AREN’T THESE PEOPLE WEIRD, but it was surprisingly just … informative. I’m not wild about the stories they showcased, because it would have been nice to throw in a few things that are tamer in their premises, but the article itself was mostly just information about fanfiction and not terribly condescending about the people who write it.
