*except Loki fangirls.
Maybe you should go back and read those hashtags again, okay? I thought Loki made for a good villain and Tom Hiddleston is a fabulous actor, but he wasn’t central to the movie for me. But I DO have friends - hardcore comic fan friends - for whom he was absolutely their favorite part. And whether or not I give a shit about Loki doesn’t change the fact that I find the idea that women having a fannish reaction to a character is considered pathetic and degrading to be offensive. It’s not the entire makeup of their fandom experience, any more than the idea that boys only like Star Wars because of Leia’s slave bikini.
I mean, you loved Summer Glau as a murderous death robot, right? Sure, she was reprogrammed, but she had a whole lot more time to turn that into redemption. And the fact that you fanboy the hell out of her doesn’t mean that you can’t recognize that T:SCC was a fabulous show…nor does it mean that there’s anything you wouldn’t watch her in.
I adore you, Dar, but you seem pretty keen to kick people out of the treehouse lately.
